Jade Lemonade
Lemonade51o is my thank you to the Bay Area. The older I got, the more I realized how special the Bay Area really is. I grew up 30 mins from San Francisco, down the street from a BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) station, and the front row at the Gay Parade. I listened to Bay Area legends like Mistah Fab, E-40 and Keak the Sneak in their prime! The history alone reminds me that everything I enjoy about my life here was fought for, made with intention, and done in community.
Stickers, Embroidery and Love For The Bay.
In 2018, I designed my first set of stickers that would be the foundation of my business. Before I knew it, Lemonade51o grew into a clothing brand that stood out from others by offering only embroidered items. Lemonade51o has become a special brand to many because of its range of items that specifically show love to the 510, the area code for the East Bay region of the Bay Area. I have huge love and appreciation for the other regions of the Bay and their impact on culture but there absolutely would be no Jade Lemonade without the 510.
I am so proud to share that all embroidery (except my iron-on patches) for Lemonade51o is done by me in Oakland. It is an honor to work on every piece I sell and make it special for you.
What do I love the Bay Area?
Life is fucking fun here. The music slaps, the food smacks and everyone is so different. I’ve been spoiled by the Bay Area’s beautiful weather, lush greenery and hyphy-ass culture. How could anyone not fall in love with this place?

One of my favorite things to do is take the ferry to the SF Ferry Building, buy an empanada at El Porteno Empanada, and then take the bus to somewhere in the city I haven’t explored yet.
This is just a short snippet of why I was inspired to make a brand highlighting the things I love about the Bay Area!
Why do I embroider?
Embroidery is a high-quality, long-lasting, sustainable craft that uses only thread, fabric stabilizer, and fabric. I am proud to make items that are not using plastic or paint that may crack, fade, or peel.
I love embroidery because I love Mother Nature!
Compared to screen printing or other garment decoration methods, embroidery uses threads that are carefully and precisely stitched directly onto a garment. This means less materials are required and less is wasted in the overall process. No water, ink, plastic, or heat is required for embroidery which means it is more environmentally friendly!
Supporting Locals Matters!
Shopping Lemonade51o is more than just supporting my art career, but as well as an investment into local festivals, craft shows and retailers around the Bay. When you spend your money on Lemonade51o products, I get to use that money to pay my booth fees that keep festivals like Oaktoberfest and San Leandro Cherryfest going. When you buy my items at retailers like Baymade and Modern Mouse, they get a portion that helps them keep their lights on. When you show up to craft shows, it shows the love and need for 3rd spaces that uplift local creatives and provides space for them to showcase their work.
I am lucky enough to spend my time vending at street fairs and art shows and restocking my items in stores in cities like Oakland, San Francisco and San Leandro. This is only possible because of the people who like shopping local, enjoy being in community and love the Bay area.
This cycle of community investment and involvement has no doubt contributed to my success as a well-known Bay Area brand. Thank you for showing up in person. Thank you for shopping local. Thank you for loving the Bay.
